Yesterday I made a bit of an impulsive trip to Brighton to make the most of the sunshine we've been having. I have a bit of a soft spot for Brighton because I used to go a lot with friends while I was at school, and then one of my best friends went to uni there so I used to visit her frequently.
Simon was suffering a bit from the night before, so food was definitely in order! I did a little research and thought it would be nice to try out JB's American Diner. When we went in we were told it would be half an hour for a table and then another half an hour for food, but within fifteen minutes we were seated in a booth. We both opted for oreo milkshakes which were incredible. They each came with a metal cup full of milkshake too – much to my dismay I couldn't finish it! For food, I had a chicken burger with mozzarella and avocado (my dream combo) and Simon went for a beef burger with cheese and pineapple. We were so full when we left!
We spent a bit of time wondering around the pier and the North Lanes before heading home. I was so surprised that the train fare is only £10 return from London (even cheaper with a railcard), I'm sure I'll be heading back come summer.
Have you been to Brighton?
Those milkshakes look impressive!

I went to Brighton for the first time last year and fell in love - it is so quirky and colourful. I went to Scoop and Crumb for the most amazing ice cream sundaes I've ever eaten - I really recommend it if you've never been before (or even if you have!)
